Primary-pa-looza

In the rest of the world only members of a particular party can vote for a person that they would like to run on their behalf. Only in America can you find a system where we allow you to waffle on your membership in a political party (because we wouldn't want you to commit to a political ideology), and you can still walk up to the polls the day of the primary and vote for any party candidate.

What the hell crap is that?

Don't more people think this is a poorly run party system?

If you don't want to commit to a party that's fine, totally understood, it's your choice, but then you should only have the ability to choose between the party candidates as chosen by their members to run in the general election.
