Spring is here (at least in my yard)

my dwarf plum tree has come out completely, evidently it wanted to be first of the season. Its neighbor the dwarf peach tree is on the verge. Should have a picture as soon as they bloom.

This is the weeping pussy willow at the front of the yard. It has already pollinated. The fuzzy tufts all of a sudden shoot out these yellow pollen filled stems... quite interesting.

The first daffodils. These are original to the yard (the landscaper found them two years ago and grouped them all together - there are 4 bunches of these in a row at the back of the house). They did not bloom last year, but they came out in force this year. Now if all the other daffodils I planted would come up.

I realized yesterday as I was planting more stuff that most of the bulbs I have in the yard are more Summer bloomers. I need to remember to put in more Spring bulbs in November. I have some tulips that never seem to come up correctly and some daffodils that when they do come up are beautiful, some double flowers. My pride and joy are my irises which are in the path of the dogs running through the front yard, yet they still survive. What a will to live.

I planted a bunch of petunias yesterday in the front, but I don't want to put in to much since not many things have come up yet because knowing me I would be digging up everything I put in last year.
