Working the overnight shift in a hotel the night of New Years Eve reminds you of why you never wanted to work the overnight shift in the first place:
People with waaaaay to much alcohol on their breath thinking they are acting sober by trying to carry on a conversation about how cool it is that we are both there at 4am talking to each other. At least I could say I was being paid for being there, they were just inebriated.
It could have always been worse I guess (fights, barfing, etc...) so I shall not complain about it.
The upside of the whole evening was that I was able to see how much time the overnight staff have free and was able to come up with a few new things for them to do. HE HE HE....
Well I am now off to bed so I can sleep a few hours and do this whole thing over again tonight. Of course tonight should be much much much quieter overall so I am sure I will think of even more things for the overnight shift to do!!!
