Mean American Idol Judges?

Come on now, is this even a topic of discussion...

Yes we all watch because it is like a train wreck or bad accident. We know that there will be some sort negative comments. Otherwise why show us this buildup crap and just show us the final 12 and go from there.

I don't think the judges have "gotten meaner." I think the contestants themselves have become much better at "fighting back." They have shown more contestants that have mouth ed off to the judges and just can not accept that they tried and will not be going further. I think its either a change in the way its being edited or a change in the type of contestant they are putting in front of the judges. I mean come on, you know that 3/4 of the people that they suffer through should NOT have gotten through initial screening except for a quirky personality, interesting look, or the ability to get a laugh.

It's great to have a dream and great to go for it, but sometimes you just need the harsh smack of reality to bring you back to the ground. Keep it up Simon, Paula, and Randy.
